NET Software Team Lead

Lead the development of cutting-edge applications that help advance the mission of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) as a .NET Software Team Lead at GDIT. HOW SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Support a development team’s activities for writing clean, maintainable, testable, and extensible code

• Contribute to all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, and Testing)

• Collaborate with the team on Agile activities, including to estimation, iterative planning and retrospectives

• Manage code and other artifacts using Github or other code repositories

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education : BS or equivalent degree in a technical field

• Experience : 8+ years of experience with 2 or more in a lead role. 5 + years .NET Full-Stack Software Developer experience with Microsoft Technology Stacks

• Technical skills : Minimum of five years of experience using Microsoft’s .NET platform including C# and ASP.NET; JavaScript; Azure DevOps (formerly Team Foundation Server); Continuous Integration (CI); Automated testing ( e.g. unit testing ); experience working in an Agile software development environment.

• Security clearance level : Must be able to obtain an NIH Public Trust

• Skills and abilities: Able to work with development teams to work across the life-cycle so teams can consistently deliver high-quality software. Ability to think systemically about how the software is built to guide those systems to be most effective.

• Location : Hybrid (telework/Rockville customer location)

Selected candidate must be relatively local to the Rockville, MD area for regular onsite meetings

Desired Skills:

· Experience with C# with Windows Forms, C++, and Objective C

· Experience with React and Vue

· Experience with git

· Experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure

The likely salary range for this position is $119,000 - $161,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
