Epredia Software Engineer - Full Stack Developer in Runcorn, United Kingdom

Epredia are investing in digital pathology with a new role in an expanding team.

Are you a professional full-stack developer with 3-5 years of experience working in a regulated industry?

We are looking for developers to analyse, document and support subsystems, interfaces and unit test functions within the image and patient management server application (backend and frontend) and other service applications of a digital pathology scanner. The scanner is a new investment and expansion of Epredia’s portfolio of equipment for pathology laboratories. Medical device development is an advantage but we can cross-train from other industries.

The software is predominantly in C# and utilizes modern software development processes. There is a minimum of 40% documentation activity within a regulated (BSEN62304) life cycle.

This is a Hybrid opportunity with work at Runcorn UK on a business needs basis – maximum expected to be 25% per annum on site.

E s s en t ial Job Functi o n s/Skills:

  • Excellent C#.

  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.Net, PostgreSQL, REST APIs.

  • .NET Core, Windows Service Applications.

  • Unit and system test in regulated industries.

  • Experience in reverse engineering code in order to articulate requirements and design details.

  • Full software development life-cycle.

    Desirable Job Functi o n s/Skills:

  • Web Apps Software Architecture experience.

  • PHP, Ajax.

  • Networking and data storage.

  • Knowledge of BS EN 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971.

  • Software development experience within the Medical Device sector (or similar highly regulated environment).

    Q ual i f ic a t io n s /S k il l s:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an engineering or computer science discipline preferred
