eBay Vehicles aims to be the source that consumers shop first when searching for cars, trucks, motorcycles, commercial and other specialty vehicles. eBay’s Vehicles business is part of the Global Growth Business Unit within eBay Classifieds, we are actively seeking a talented and ambitious UI/UX designer to join us in our mission to make eBay's top rated desktop, mobile platforms, and dealer tools the premium buying and selling experience for our current and future customers.

Primary Job Responsibilities

As a UX Designer at eBay, you will:

·Work in concert with Product and Engineerings teams to build experiences that align with our brand, provide real customer value and grow our engaged audience.

·Partner closely with researchers, content strategists, and designers from across the company to understand the needs of our customers and advocate for new and emerging native technologies.

·Articulate and sell your design solutions to other designers, product stakeholders, and executives.

·Deliver wireframes, mocks and/or prototypes for new user interfaces and interactions that will delight our customers.

·Work with a team of world class product designers who love getting into the details, solving hard problems and have a great time together doing it.


To succeed as a designer at eBay, you should:

·Be a self-starter, fast learner and take a proactive stance toward achieving success on your projects.

·Be a clear verbal and written communicator, with the ability to effectively present your work to both design and non-design audiences.

·Be proficient at solving business problems by facilitating a user-centric design process.

·Have a solid grasp of web and mobile design principles and emerging technologies.

·Be adept at using Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote or any number of tools to get your ideas across

·Have a strong portfolio, featuring several samples of your design work.

·Be innovative, and demonstrate an ability to think “out of the box” and propose solutions that go beyond just "good enough."

·Have basic sketching skills. Familiarity with visual thinking is helpful.

· Coding ability in HTML, CSS & JS or any other language would be a huge benefit ​

·Be organized, able to act independently, and able to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced environment.


·Undergraduate degree in design, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive or Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Science, Information Architecture or 5 years experience in related field.

·Must include ​link to an up to date, online portfolio in order to be considered
