Amazon Principal Product Manager, Tech, Grocery in-store and ads in Seattle, Washington

Description

The Grocery in-store and ads (GIA) tech team owns developing customer facing physical store technology solutions at Amazon. The physical store business is in a formative stage, and GIA team is responsible for building the technical and customer experience foundations for long-term success. The Principal PMT on this team will lead development of the vision and drive execution for innovative checkout technology solutions across four different physical store banners at Amazon across NA and EU regions.

In this role you will imagine, define and deliver innovative solutions that both delight customers and simplify the shopping journey in physical stores. You will benchmark checkout capabilities and performance against competitors, and develop a strategy to make checkout technology a key differentiator at Amazon's physical stores. You will work backwards from the end customer to propose product offerings to solve customer concerns, while also defining coherent technical solutions across complex areas such as pricing, promotions, payments, and product returns. You will also work across multiple tech, business, and operations teams to develop a coherent product strategy that supports multiple physical store businesses.

Key job responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to understand their needs and priorities, define requirements, and partner with multiple teams to build and drive our tech roadmap.

• Champion bold ideas on how to evolve and grow the capabilities of the team.

• Engage in active mentorship and help develop talent across tech roles; effectively share and scale leading practices across the org.

• Set goals, priorities, establish metrics, processes and mechanisms to ensure the highest standards are achieved.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • 6+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
