Amazon Principal Program Manager, SWA DEA, ACES Strategy & Analytics in Seattle, Washington

This cross-functional role will work backwards from customer experience and build processes and influence operations and technology partners to reduce errors from upstream operations, address root cause of top customer experience offenders, and identify opportunities to improve service level while eliminating variance and waste in the end-to-end workflow of customer shipments through the "Ship With Amazon" (SWA) program. This role will make decisions backed by data and implement creative resolutions with built-in support from great business data analysts and engineers.

Key job responsibilities

• Function as the single-threaded leader and subject-matter expert for SWA DEA performance across the NASC network. Responsible for meeting broader organization performance goals and explaining performance drivers and network actions to VP-level leadership verbally and in writing.

• Drive network delivery performance excellence for SWA by designing and implementing systems, metrics, and programs that maximize reliability and continuous improvement.

• Mentor NASC leadership staff in Lean principles; define and drive adoption of standard work into the daily routines and habits of Sortation Center staff.

• Collaborate with counterparts in other ATS functional areas & corporate teams to drive standardization and documentation of core process elements to support network growth and scale.

• Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon customers.

• Drive creation, confirm data integrity, & ensure accessibility on key indicators of performance for the network, allowing leaders to focus energy on driving performance.

• Develop operational business requirements to enable innovation, support user acceptance testing, and own pilot test design for new process & technology solutions.

NASC ACES Strategy & Analytics is responsible for improving our ability to deliver packages through middle mile fulfillment channels to our customers on time. As program managers and BIEs, we use data to identify areas of improvement in business performance and manage a portfolio of cross-functional initiatives that both improve daily execution and shape the forward looking vision of the network. We are also the voice of the Sort Center business line for all things related to DEA, and we ensure that our business is invested in the right initiatives to meet customer promise for every package, every time.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery

  • Experience working with, presenting to and influencing senior executives up to VP level

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA

  • PMP certificate

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $111,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
