Amazon Sr. Product Manager - Tech, DC Power Utilization Management in Seattle, Washington

The Amazon Infrastructure team is looking for a passionate, results-oriented, Senior Product Manager to own defining the business requirements for the next compute, storage and network rack supply chain automation platform working closely with our software development teams and business partners. implement. AWS spends north of $30B in capital each year on its supply chain. With growing footprint, come complex supply chain problem statements and the opportunity for innovative solutions that work at scale. Build software solutions that plan and execute movement of computing and storage hardware, data center upgrades and electrical power recovery.

Our team owns the supply plan for data center power and space in response to the customer forecasts. We own initiatives and the software that models and improves the utilization of our power, cooling and space infrastructure in our data centers so that we are generating capacity at the lowest possible cost. In this role you will work closely with HW Asset Life Cycle Management, Data Center Engineering, Data Center Operations and Supply Chain Automation software development. You will own the software solution that plans rack retirements and vends those plans to execution systems. You will also own the systems that plan and execute upgrades of DCs from where legacy racks have been retired. You will identify defects in our business processes, and drive new processes and software automation to eliminate the defects and prevent them from recurring without posing risk to availability.

Successful candidates will be analytical with business acumen, and detail driven with excellent problem solving abilities. You should also be obsessed with contributing to the development of high-performance teams through rigorous goal-setting, disciplined attention to performance metrics, continuous process improvement and mentorship.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
