Ohio Farmers Insurance Company Principal Enterprise Architect in Seville, Ohio

The Enterprise Principal Architect, working under limited supervision, is responsible for providing strategic leadership in designing and implementing the organization's technology architecture. The role involves overseeing and guiding the development of enterprise-wide architectural solutions to support the company's business objectives. The role collaborates with key stakeholders to analyze business requirements, assess existing systems, and define technology strategies and leads the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies, conduct thorough feasibility studies, and provide recommendations for system enhancements and upgrades. The role also ensures the alignment of IT systems with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory compliance. Leads the development and implementation of enterprise-wide IT strategies, roadmaps, and architecture frameworks aligned with the company's business goals and objectives. Defines and promotes architectural principles, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency, interoperability, and scalability across the organization's IT infrastructure and systems. Collaborates with executive stakeholders, including CIO and business leaders, to understand their strategic priorities and translate them into actionable architectural plans and initiatives. Conducts in-depth analysis of the existing IT landscape, identifying areas for improvement, modernization, and optimization, and proposes architectural solutions to address business challenges. Guides and mentors, a team of architects, providing technical leadership, coaching, and expertise to drive architectural excellence and foster innovation within the IT organization. Evaluates emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, assessing their potential value and impact on the insurance company's IT infrastructure, and recommends strategic investments. Drives architectural governance processes, ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements, and monitors the implementation of architectural standards and guidelines. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including solution architects, infrastructure engineers, data scientists, and cybersecurity specialists, to design and deliver complex enterprise-level solutions. Provides strategic guidance and consultation to project teams, advising on architectural design, technology selection, integration approaches, and risk mitigation strategies. Represents the organization externally, participating in industry forums, conferences, and collaborations to stay updated on the latest trends, share knowledge, and contribute to industry thought leadership. 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture or Enterprise IT Strategy or a related field. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and/or commensurate experience. Expert level competency in one of the Architecture domains of Technology, Application, Data, or Insurance Business, with a preference for the Data Domain, and intermediate level competency in others.
