Amazon BI Analysis Manager, Central BI in Shanghai, China

Amazon Global Selling has been helping individuals and businesses increase sales and reach new customers around the globe. Today, more than 60% of Amazon's total unit sales come from third-party selection. The Global Selling team in China is responsible for recruiting local businesses to sell on Amazon’s 20 overseas stores, and supporting local sellers’ success and growth on Amazon. Our vision is to be the first choice for all types of Chinese business to go globally.

In our effort to support this aggressive growth around the world, we are looking for a passionate business analysis manager to turn data into actionable insights, and support answer strategic business questions. In this role, you will be working in one of the world's largest and most complex data warehouse environments. You should be passionate about working with complex datasets and be someone who loves to turn data into insights to answer strategic business questions. You should have deep expertise in analytic view of business questions, building up & refining metrics framework to measure business operation and translating data into meaningful insights. In this role, you will have ownership of end-to-end analytics development to complex questions and you’ll play an integral role in strategic decision making.You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with business owners to understand business challenges & opportunities, and to drive data-driven decision into process & tool improvement together with business team. Above all, you should be passionate about how insights can be used to improve both the Customer and Seller experience of selling across borders.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional or military experience

  • 5+ years of SQL experience

  • Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.

  • Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutions

  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in statistics, data science, or an equivalent quantitative field

  • Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling

  • Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
