Google Product Manager II, Design and Validation in Sunnyvale, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of experience in product management, consulting, co-founder or related technical role.

  • 2 years of experience building and shipping technical products

  • Experience in Hardware Engineering, Supply Chain, Embedded Systems, or Business Systems, and with data science and AI.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.

  • Experience scaling and adapting team/organizational processes to new and emerging conditions.

  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment with a focus on knowledge sharing and collaboration.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, project management, and communication skills.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

As a Product Manager on the End to End (E2E) Design and Validation team, you will identify new areas of investment, and develop strategy and roadmaps for cloud infrastructure providing custom technical solutions for large-scale, complex problems.

You'll seamlessly collaborate with Engineering, Business, Finance, and Product teams, leading product development. You will create strategy and develop requirements to facilitate solutions development to complex systems that may be ambiguous and/or lack clear precedent. The solutions developed will have a long-term strategic impact on the product area and the customers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Develop goals and roadmaps for new products through cross-collaboration with Infrastructure Hardware and Software Engineering, Cloud Operations partners across Cloud Supply Chain Operations (CSCO), and other stakeholders.

  • Create mocks, product requirement documents, and feature documentation to clearly specify infrastructure product functionality, features, and technical specifications (e.g., hardware, software, data, analytics).

  • Serve as a product subject matter expert in core meetings, representing customers. Provide technical insights, analysis, and recommendations to influence product design, development, and deployment decisions.

  • Contribute to decisions about the team's areas of investment, prioritizing and deprioritizing features as appropriate to keep the team focused on product success.

  • Work with members of cross-functional groups (e.g., Hardware and Software Engineering, Finance, Systems), initiate collaboration between technical teams and non-technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
