AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for experienced technologists with a combination of technical depth and excellent interpersonal skills to join the EMEA Prototyping team as Prototype Architect (PA). The PA will join a newly created group of hands-on developers focusing on the Israel market.

The PA will work on multi-week customer prototypes through collaborative projects with developers and solution architects from customers, partners and other AWS stakeholders. A prototype brings technology and business concepts together and is a real technical implementation of a solution to a customer's business challenge. As a PA, you would focus on co-developing solutions on AWS with customers and enable them to ramp up as builders and take forward the implementation to production.

The ideal candidate for this role should combine hands-on development with solution architecture skills, and demonstrate a good understanding of the AWS services portfolio with experience building solutions following cloud architecture, security and operational best practices. Interest and experience with Generative AI is a plus for this role. The PA is expected to ideate and implement technical architectures addressing customer needs while working closely with specialist resources for domains requiring deep expertise

Key job responsibilities

  • Support the Prototype Engagement Manager in Israel and other local stakeholders in the technical qualification and scoping of new prototype opportunities

  • Lead the design and implementation of prototype architectures addressing customer needs working together with prototyping architects, solution architects and other stakeholders, with focus on Generative AI technologies

  • Deliver 3 to 8 weeks hands-on prototype projects with customers and partners, in agile and collaborative development engagements

  • Drive continuous technical enablement and knowledge transfer to customers and partners involved in prototype engagements

  • Develop and present technical demonstrations to Senior Business and Technical leaders, and document projects as appropriate

  • Proactively collaborate with the wider AWS community such as Solutions Architect, Service and Solution teams to ensure optimal customer outcomes during engagements

  • Proactively develop reusable technical assets from customer engagements and promote within the EMEA and worldwide AWS SA community

Basic Qualifications

  • Good technical knowledge of cloud services (AWS services portfolio knowledge is a plus) and implementation best practices, with demonstrable experience in security, infrastructure-as-code, serverless and data domains as well as experience of Generative AI technologies

  • Experience and motivation working in close day to day collaboration with customers developers teams such as devops, data engineering, machine learning developers, software developers; across a wide spectrum of skills and engineering maturity

  • Hands-on programming experience in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Node.js

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with external and internal customers and/or partners to design and implement solutions that are ready for large scale operations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences

  • Have a passion for exploring the art of the possible and building cloud solutions for a diverse and challenging set of customers. Enjoy keeping your technical knowledge up to date

  • Experience of implementing solutions with AWS or other major Cloud platform services in business environments such as large and medium sized enterprises, digital native businesses, ISVs, start-ups...
