Amazon Finance Manager - Program Finance, JP Store Finance in Tokyo, Japan

We are hiring a Finance Manager in JP Store Finance to partner with teams across Japan Delivery Experience (DEX) organization focused on delivery speed and convenience. In this role, you will provide financial planning, analysis, controllership and insights to enable data-driven decision making and long-term growth. Key job responsibilities

  • Lead finance for Speed, Convenience and Purchase Consolidation programs, providing strategic guidance and decision support in this rapidly evolving and competitive space

  • Influence cross-functional teams to make sound business decisions, analyze and prepare PnL, identify issues, and develop innovative solutions.

  • Evaluate and control marketing and deal investments, its financial efficiency and their impact on JP Store PnL

  • Leverage data-driven insights to understand key business drivers, identify areas for improvement, and drive economic optimization.

  • Synthesize data into compelling narratives and presentations for senior leadership

  • Manage competing priorities and shifts in direction with flexibility and focus

About the team

The role will be under JP Store Finance organization partnering with JP DEX located in Tokyo.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Tokyo, 13, JPN

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience

  • Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel

  • Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving

  • Language requirements: Business fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
