Job Description

Summary

We are creating this role to be launch lead for a new therapy used in an unmet need within the Canadian Hospital environment. This role is responsible for all aspects of launch, product and brand marketing. The individual, as part of the Canadian Organization, interacts and collaborates regularly with other departments, understands the market and sales team needs, and delivers the necessary tools and services to ensure business growth in the region. This role will also be linked into the Global Marketing brand team.

Essential Functions

  • Launch excellence of a new therapy into the Canadian Hospital space.

  • Lead annual cross- functional integrated brand planning process.

  • Lead the development of Marketing campaigns, promotional tools, and messaging to support the launch of a new product and business expansion in the region in collaboration with external agencies.

  • Develop and implement processes, tools and trainings to improve sales force communication and effectiveness.

  • Lead the creation of primary and secondary market research efforts and digital data analysis to monitor market trends and gain the necessary market insights to inform and drive regional tactics and strategies.

  • Identify and collaborate with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders (ex. Clinical societies, professional associations, etc) to understand market needs and drive therapy adoption.

  • Manage company’s participation in tradeshows and scientific congresses in the region, define strategies, communication messages and deliver necessary tools for optimized presence.

  • Support digital marketing strategy to increase our reach and drive customers to key parts of our value proposition.

  • Develop new promotional tools and drive the competitive differentiation programs and support commercial efforts in formulary inclusions.

  • Support other functions (ex. Regulatory, and market access etc) in the development of necessary product labelling material.

  • Support the Promotional Review Committee process and implementation of best promotional practice across and adherence to branding guidelines across the region.

  • Managing and strategically spending the marketing budget. Support monthly and annual financial processes.

  • Support Press Release plans in collaboration with Corporate Communication.

  • Support the Competitive Strategies and Competitive Intelligence teams in the collection of market insights and competitive intelligence from the region.

Minimum Requirements

Education / Experience / Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or science field required, Master degree preferred in a business or related discipline, such as MBA or other Marketing qualification desirable.

  • Min of 10 years experience in sales and marketing in the healthcare industry and ideally hospital market.

  • Min 5 years experience in Marketing.

  • Experience and good knowledge in any of the fields of Hepatology, Gastroenterology and/or Nephology.

  • Robust experience in creation of marketing campaigns, messaging and tools for sales force (advertising, brochures, congress panels, digital, etc) in collaboration with external agencies.

  • Good presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively internally and externally, across a diverse range of cultures.

  • Ability to successfully interact with customers, build relationships and manage expectations.

  • Proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint

  • Project Management skills and knowledge of PM methodologies is preferential.

  • Fluent in English (written & verbal), French in addition is a significant benefit.

  • Sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Ability thriving in ambiguity with an entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines with a high sense of urgency.

  • Strategic thinking coupled with the ability to be pragmatic and action oriented.

Organizational Relationship/Scope:

Reports to: General Manager

Working Conditions:

Ideally based in the Toronto area. Potential for hybrid office work. Some travel 25% is expected in country, Us and International. Incumbent must maintain an up-to-date passport.
