Position Description

As the Strategic Account Manager, you will be responsible for the hand tool, laser and vac categories. This includes creating, executing and driving the strategy to create long term, sustainable growth. This role requires an individual capable of creating goals and tactics to achieve the desired result. In addition, the role requires an individual capable of building strong and productive relationships with the Home Depot merchant, Milwaukee marketing and field teams.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement long term sales strategy to grow sales and drive profitability. Must regularly meet with all stakeholders to identify long term and short-term needs and develop a plan to deliver key metrics. Must stay abreast of industry trends to understand account needs and positioning.

  • 2024 POS Budget – $62M in POS

  • Develop and implement annual sales plan. Work with the channel, product and operations teams to communicate and execute plan. Plans include new listings, new merchandising ideas, promo planning and execution and forecasting.

  • Develop accurate and timely annual, quarterly, and monthly sales calls in conjunction with demand planner.

  • Leverage Milwaukee Headquarters locations to test and launch new merchandising POG’s at THD.

  • Develop robust quarterly promotional plan in conjunction with the channel team.

  • Establish and track POS and in stocks to measure level of success and ensure productivity of new initiatives and promo executions.

  • In conjunction with THD merchant teams and Marketing process partners, make recommendations and plan execution of new products and POG updates.

  • In conjunction with Marketing, THD merchants, and supporting special projects teams, plan, build, execute quarterly POG updates to support new product launches, new initiatives, removal of under performing SKUs, execution of new strategies, etc..

  • Weekly, monthly collaboration meetings with key Home Depot stake holders ensuring accurate presentation mins, achieving a 98% in stock.

  • A moderate level of interaction, planning, and communication with US counter parts.

  • Extensive communication with key stakeholders and influencers at every level of the customer’s organization. Coordinate and deliver sales presentations effectively utilizing resources available. Promote, sell, and secure business for both existing and new products. Obtain feedback and use effectively with internal resources.

  • Participate in sales meetings and trade shows representing the company and presenting products and programs.

  • Prepare and submit required monthly activity/update reports.

  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and issues.

  • Other duties as required.

What You Will Bring

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5+ year’s successful sales/marketing experience, and / or / dealing in the industrial channel to strategic or national account distributors and or users.

  • Demonstrated track record of growing profitable sales.

  • Development of account business plans to include: product offerings, forecasts, advertising/co-op, profitability, expenses and any specific distribution needs.

  • Demonstrated strong analytical and organizational skills, including forecasting and planning skills.

  • Strong communication skills – written, verbal and excellent presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills.

  • Takes positive approach and has sense of urgency.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal resources.

  • Requires a valid driver's license, clean driving record and passport

  • PC literate in Microsoft Office products
