The Product Manager, Regulatory plays a critical role in ensuring Greenway’s EHR platforms remain compliant with evolving healthcare regulations. This role will demonstrate a strong understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements and product management knowledge, to assist the EHR product management and development teams with translating regulations into actionable product features, ensuring the EHRs seamlessly support the needs of our clients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to stay abreast of emerging federal and state healthcare regulations impacting EHR systems, including ONC HIT Certification criteria, HIPAA, Meaningful Use, and other relevant standards.

  • Translate complex regulatory requirements into clear and concise product specifications and user stories for development teams.

  • Partner with engineering, quality assurance, and product development teams to implement regulatory requirements into the EHR platform.

  • Manage the product lifecycle for regulatory features, ensuring timely completion, testing, and documentation.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive regulatory documentation, including risk assessments, traceability matrices, and gap analyses.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (legal, sales, support) to ensure a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and their impact on clients.

  • Monitor industry trends and participate in relevant regulatory working groups to stay current on best practices.

  • Communicate regulatory updates and their impact on the product roadmap to internal teams and external clients.

  • Conduct training sessions for internal teams on relevant regulatory requirements and the functionality of the EHR platform related to those regulations.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, healthcare administration, or a related field.

  • Five (5)+ years of experience in product management and/or healthcare regulations.

  • In-depth understanding of ambulatory care workflows, challenges, and best practices (e.g., scheduling, billing, clinical documentation).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization.

  • Experience conducting user research and translating user needs into product requirements.

  • Proficiency in product management methodologies (a plus).

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • While at work, this position is primarily a sedentary job and requires that the associate can work in an environment where they will consistently be seated for most of the workday

  • This role requires that one can sit and regularly type on a keyboard most of their workday

  • This position requires the ability to observe a computer screen for extended periods of time to observe their own and others’ work, as well as in-coming and out-going communications via the computer and/ or mobile devices.

  • The role necessitates the ability to listen and speak clearly to customers and other associates
