SSAI seeks a Cloud Software Engineer Skill Level 1 to support a suite of web-based applications that automate data management for IC data custodians. The products facilitate the capture of information and approvals that allow for the movement of data through the customer mission space in a compliant manner. These products are critical to standardize and simplify data movement as well as data reuse and integration with downstream tools. This work is performed onsite at client facility and offers flexible hours.

The selected individual will become a member of a mature software development effort using Java as the primary language. The development effort uses Agile methods to assign, track and manage software activities and requirements within the team. This position will allow the software developer to develop and broaden their skills in the Java language as well as use current technologies such as Quarkus and PrimeFaces. Use of these technologies allows for full stack development, to include ease of building UIs.

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in a related technical field from an accredited college or university is highly desired which will be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience. NOTE: A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar degree will be considered as a technical field.

• Shall have at least 2 years of experience in software engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, and problem diagnosis/resolution.

• Shall have demonstrated ability to work with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Accumulo, Big Table, et cetera.

• Shall have at least one (1) year of experience developing software with high level languages such as Java or C++

• Shall have at least two (2) years of experience in software integration and software testing, to include developing and implementing test plans and test scripts.

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph clearance is required

• Familiarity with:

• AWS Cloud technologies

• Agile methods and tools

• MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, and/or Pig

• Ability to work in a team environment; good communication and collaboration skills; self-starter
