Chewy Sr. Asset Protection Manager in Plantation, Florida

Chewy is seeking an Sr. Program Manager, Asset Protection , to support the Chewy Fulfillment Core & Rx Network teams. This role will lead partnering with the Site Operations team to develop and maintain all Asset Protection compliance, metrics, and automated dashboards at Fulfillment Centers (FCs). In addition, they will provide direct oversight of Chewy Asset Protection compliance programs along with coordinating and participating in annual compliance audits. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate, coordinate, recognize, and manage inventory control shrink, risk assessment, assets, physical security, and asset protection standard of operating procedures (SOP) on a multi-state, multi-region level. Must demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and influence change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and loss prevention data analysis. This individual will also be responsible for partnering with Learning and Legal teams to review loss prevention training and best practices based on trends to ensure that all Chewy Asset Protection policies and processes remain compliant and current.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and manage a Asset Protection program (strategy, policy, and procedures) for Chewy’s Fulfillment Centers and Pharmacy.

  • Partner with site leadership, human resources, and internal customers to ensure internal policies and procedures are developed, improved, and adhered to.

  • Work with internal customers and Site leadership to develop loss-reduction strategies. Conduct ongoing risk assessments and outline corrective measures.

  • Monitor and report statistical data relating to Chewy inventory comprehensive audits in compliance with Chewy and industry standards.

  • Review and analyze activities and records to determine compliance with Chewy policies and SOPs.

  • Review Asset Protection and Audit reports and develop recommendations to reduce inventory shrinkage.

  • Initiate, conduct, and support confidential internal/external investigations involving company assets and team members.

  • Assist with incident investigations; prepare investigation reports including recommendations on corrective and preventive actions; and monitor implementation.

  • Ensure Fulfillment Centers and Pharmacy compliance with all laws and workplace standards.

  • Participate as a member of the Fulfillment Management team in the planning, formulating, and implementing the Fulfillment Centers’ missions and goals.

  • Advise Site Environmental Health and Safety team on matters related to Loss Prevention.

  • Detect and resolve situations involving team member theft, abuse, or unsafe acts involving company assets, policies, or procedures.

  • Ensure that all physical security measures are operational (i.e., alarms, CCTV, etc..).

  • Assist with conducting facility and compliance program audits and inspections.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (criminal justice, loss prevention and asset protection) or equivalent work experience or military service.

  • 8+ years of loss prevention, asset protection, or law enforcement experience.

  • 3 -5 years of experience in a role supporting fulfillment, distribution centers, manufacturing plants, and multiple stores focused on progressive Asset Protection and Audit roles or equivalent combination of experience and education.

  • Proficiency and experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Microsoft Office, Tableau, Service Now, or Smartsheet.

  • Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills.

  • Working knowledge of Wicklander – Zulawski Interview/Investigation techniques.

  • Ability to train and motivate associates and delegate tasks and duties to staff in a complex fulfillment center environment.

  • Excellent written, verbal and negotiation skills to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce.

  • Effective people management, project management and time management skills.

  • Ability to effectively problem solve by analyzing situations and applying creative and timely solutions.

  • Change Management – Adaptable to a fast-paced, shifting work environment; willing to remain flexible to accommodate changing business conditions, work requirements, and customer scheduling needs.

  • Detail Oriented – Attention to detail, ability to focus on the task, adherence to Company policies and requirements while consistently delivering error-free results.

  • Demonstrate ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.

  • Experience leading change in multiple site environments and implementing asset protection policies and procedures.

  • Required to live within a commutable distance from the Fulfillment Center

  • Must be willing to travel up to 40%.
