Verity Robotics Engineer in Zurich, Switzerland
Verity is seeking a Robotics Engineer to join its growing team, to contribute to the efforts of improving and maintaining safety, reliability, and performance of our current and future drone systems.
You will work in an inter-disciplinary team made of robotics, electrical and embedded engineers. As a Robotics Engineer, you will be responsible for making our drone platforms operate at their peak performance, failure-free, 24/7, and fully autonomously.

Our integrated inventory tracking system enables zero-error warehousing for big box retailers, third-party logistics providers, and manufacturers. What you'll do
Responsible for implementing, testing, and releasing safety- and time-critical software features running on the embedded platform
Develop and maintain state machines, estimation algorithms, and control algorithms to ensure safety and maximum system performance
Develop automated flight data analyses, performance monitoring, early failure detection, and safety procedures
Identify and analyze field issues from log data and implement, test, and release fixes
Support in-house prototype drone building and flight testing
Collaborate with members of our embedded, software, hardware and data teams
What you bring
Degree (MSc or PhD) in robotics, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or relevant field
2+ years of professional or hands-on project experience in robotics
Proficient in C++ and Python
Thorough understanding of system modeling and control theory
Technical experience with drones or lithium batteries is a plus
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
